Make it possible to edit a value in a lookup.
A lookup, as its name suggests, is only a vision of the data from another table. I would like to be able to change the value from there too.
It can be relevant to have a single source of truth that can be edited from two different pages.
I guess it could be done by adding an option in the lookup field's setting : "editable". During edition, Stacker prepares and sends to Airtable the right edit request for the right field (the one that is looked up).

This is big for me too please. My users are duplicating sooo many records. They are duplicating and keep adding records, because they either:
1) aren't able to see all the fields for the record (eg: can't see if Bob Smith's phone number, email, company name etc is already contained in the record, so they create another - just in case...; or
2) can't tell the difference between the records. (eg: there are already 5 entries for Bob Smith, but they don't know which one is the correct contact/record, so they create a new one.
It's resulting in really messy data. So I imagine like a preview and edit button.
And/or a dropdown which allows the user to see more information on the record (eg: Instead of just record name, it could show, name, company, phone, email etc..)
** I notice this was first requested a couple of years ago, so obviously not a priority - so if anyone knows of any type of workaround here please let me know..
** I tried to show the look up fields, so at least the users could see the values of records that already exist, but this isn't possible either.

This feature would be so useful for our team! Our users have the hardest time understanding that they need to drill into a sub-view to edit fields that come through a lookup. We end up having to sacrifice elegant and flexible database designs to make it easier for our users to edit these fields. 🤦
